GoodGamer, along with the launch of its fantasy sports app, has signed Indian cricketers Umesh Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav as its brand ambassadors.

Daily fantasy sports and esports platform GoodGamer has signed Indian cricket stars Umesh Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav as its brand influencers.

The Bangalore-based fantasy gaming and technology company made the announcement on the back of the launch of its gaming app featuring fantasy cricket and first-person shooter game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).

Umesh Yadav, currently plying his trade for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, has starred in a promotional campaign for the brand, inviting users to play fantasy cricket on the app.

In addition to the official app launch, GoodGamer has inked an advertising agreement with Disney+ Hotstar, the official live streaming platform for all premium sports in India, including the IPL 2020 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Charles Creighton, CEO of GoodGamer, believes that India is a lucrative market for fantasy cricket and the app launch will benefit from the IPL 2020.

"India and cricket represent an incredible opportunity for GoodGamer. With a cricket fan base reaching 900 million users, the return of franchise cricket on Disney + Hotstar is the perfect place and time for launching our app,” said Creighton.

Along with fantasy gaming, GoodGamer is also targeting the thriving Indian Esports industry with the launch of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and the addition of other popular games in the near future.

“Our app is also primed to gain access to India's 350 million mobile gamers with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and our future launch of Valorant, Dota 2, and Freefire.

“The demographics in India couldn't be better aligned with the unique sports and Esports focus of our daily fantasy app," reckoned Creighton.

Valorant is a first-person shooter game, while Dota 2 is an online battle arena video game and Freefire fits in the shooting category as well.

Good Gamer India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vancouver-based firm Good Gamer, is offering an inaugural bonus for every deposit a user makes to enter a fantasy contest along with rewards for inviting new users through their Refer-a-Friend program.
