After launching in February, the SportsTiger app has obtained the rights to live stream the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

PSL 2020 live streaming rights acquired by SportsTiger in India

Emerging Indian sports application SportsTiger has acquired the rights for the live streaming of the 2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

All games of the PSL from February 20 to March 22 will now be streamed live in India on the SportsTiger application, and will also be broadcast on television by DSports.

PSL is the biggest T20 league of Pakistan and one of the most popular cricket leagues in the world. It features some of the finest cricketing talents of the globe like Kieron Pollard, Chris Lynn, Shane Watson and Dale Steyn. Pakistan’s cricketing stars Shahid Afridi, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman will also be seen in action.

Along with live streaming of matches, the sports aggregator app features news in 60 words, match scorecards, sports videos, podcasts, and interviews. It also has the option of listening to the news rather than reading it. The application will cover sports including cricket, tennis, and football with an aim to reach a wider audience.

Vinit Godhara, the co-founder of MyTeam11, which is the parent company of SportsTiger, is confident that the PSL deal is a step in the right direction for the app.

“This is the beginning of what is going to be an exciting journey for us with the hope of making SportsTiger a one-stop destination for every sports aficionado in this country with more live-action, news, and live scores on the offering,” Godhara said.

“Our constant effort is to provide more engaging and interesting content to sports lovers and this is just a start.”

The SportsTiger app was launched earlier this year in February and has already been downloaded more than 100,000 times on the Google Play Store.

It will serve as a direct competing app for Dream11’s FanCode, which also streams live sports content for cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, and baseball.
