Users can watch all matches of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 on the FanCode app after the Dream11 subsidiary acquired its live streaming rights.

FanCode acquires live streaming rights for CPL 2020

FanCode, India’s leading multi-sport aggregator platform, has acquired the live streaming rights of this year’s Caribbean Premier League, which will begin August 18.

CPL 2020 will be the first major T20 league to commence since the COVID-19 outbreak. With the new association, FanCode will stream all 33 games of the Caribbean Premier League on its app, with matches starting from 7:30 PM IST on every match day.

"The world is finally witnessing the gradual return of sports, and with CPL, the fans are in for a treat to enjoy the first T20 cricket from the big leagues since lockdown,” said Prasana Krishnan, co-founder of FanCode.

Users can gain access to the live stream through an industry-first offering - Match Pass and Tour Pass. The Match Pass will be available for INR 5 per match while the tournament-long pass can be obtained for a one-time payment of INR 29, providing the users freedom to handpick matches or choose all at once.

“With Match and Tour Pass, we’re continuing to put the fan at the centre of everything we do, giving them the flexibility to choose what they want to subscribe to,” said Yannick Colaco, co-founder of FanCode.

In a mission to become a one-stop destination for all sports fans, FanCode also offers scorecards, match analysis and highlights, post-match interviews and fantasy gaming tips on its app.

“In continuing with our commitment of providing great experiences to sports fans by unlocking the potential of digital, we will be rolling out features like interactive data overlays on the live feed, customised commentary and detailed analysis around the progress of the matches,” added Colaco.

FanCode has similar deals with the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Major League Baseball (MLB), enabling it to stream their matches on the app. The FanCode app has been downloaded more than 10 million times on the Google Play Store.
