New fantasy cricket platform SportzXchange has launched the beta version of its app, that will be available to both Android and iOS users.

SportzXchange launches its fantasy cricket app

SportzXchange has become the latest fantasy sports platform to launch its app in order to gain more users.

With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 taking place in the UAE and the Indian cricket team scheduled to tour Australia later this month, the reach of the sport is on the rise again.

It has provided an opportunity for fantasy sports firms to scale up their business, which was struggling since the COVID-19 pandemic.

To cater to a wider range of audiences - from rookies to professionals - the fantasy sports app will offer different levels of difficulties -- beginner, intermediate, and expert.

Apart from the difficulty aspect, other new features have been made available on the app.

“We have incorporated several innovative features to make it more interesting and there is something XTRA in SportzXchange for our discerning users,” said Hari Narayan, founder of SportzXchange.

In the Team Portfolio feature, users can not only select 11 players like a regular fantasy cricket app but can also select up to three units of their star player(s). These players will be awarded points for as many units the users have in their team portfolio.

For instance, if you pick MS Dhoni in a fantasy contest, you can add up to three instances of him and be rewarded for all three.

Another feature called the PlayerXchange allows users to buy and sell the player units with other participants on the platform. This trading feature, if used wisely, can increase the users’ chances of winning.

The platform currently offers fantasy cricket but aims to add more sports to its roster in the next few months. The majority of Indian fantasy sports apps started with just cricket but later added other sports such as football and basketball.
